On March 18, 2017, on the eve of Novruz holiday,Associate Professor Roza Arazova, Head of the Department of History and Archeology, Khazar University, held meeting with students majoring in teaching the history of School of Education. Famous intellectuals of the country also took part in the meeting.
Reyhan Huseynova, founder of ‚‘University Foundation Center" and vice-president of the Azerbaijan-France friendship group also took part in the meeting and answered the questions of the students. During the meeting , prestudy training courses in Baku, free education in France, provision of dormitory for students and other matters were also covered.
Students majoring in history teaching of School of Education are studying “Khojaly-Gadabay culture" heritage. The training was conducted by Nuride Atesh, director of Caucasus Studies Institute in Berlin. Nuride Atesh gave detailed and comprehensive information to students on studing in Germany, prespectives and opportunities in Europe for students`s future education and career. Nuride Atesh also noted that she will make all out efforts in training young professionals and researches for investigating rich cultural heritage of Khojali-Gadabay culture which has not been studied so far by the European museums.
Prof. Dr. Abbas Seyidov, Senior Research Fellow of the Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS Institute gave detailed information about Khojaly-Gadabay culture to students and emphasized that how it is important and honorable to study the heritage of this brilliant culture. He noted that in order to reveal history of Azerbaijan as well as Nagorno Karabakh and to prove it to the world science, it is extremely important to learn Khojaly-Gadabay cultural heritage and it is one of the biggest challenges facing history.
He expressed his gratitude to Ms. Roza Arazova, head of the department and N. Ateshi who taught the subject, for taking such a difficult and responsible task to their shoulders.
We should note that on March 3, 2017 the cooperation agreement signed between Khazar University and Lyon-2 University of France. This agreement will provide many opportunities such as research, cooperation in various fields of education, teacher and student exchange programs between universities and it will give chances to students of Khazar University to study at Lyon-2 University.
In the end, head of department Ms. Roza Arazova expressing deep gratitude to guests, gave her instructions and recommendations about upcoming important tasks, goals and objectives in order to help students of Khazar University to continue their education in Europian Universities and to study cultural heritage of Khojaly-Gadabay culture and at the same time, she urged students to take advantage of all these opportunities.
