Dr. Dilara Rasulova, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Khazar University, is participating in the “Impact-Driven Universities: Education, Leadership and Societal Challenge” Central Asia Regional Conference held in Kazakhstan on June 11–14.
Dr. Dilara Rasulova spoke at the “The Rise of Central Asia: A New Voice in Global Higher Education” panel organized within the forum and shared her thoughts on the development prospects of Azerbaijan’s higher education system and private universities. She spoke about innovative projects and experiences implemented at Khazar University to improve the quality of education, strengthen industry-university cooperation, expand student-oriented initiatives, and develop international partnerships. During her speech, she emphasized the role of universities not only as educational institutions, but also as strategic institutions that contribute to the socio-economic development of society and drive change.
The panel also included Assylbek Kozhakhmetov, founder and president of Almaty Management University, Chynara Ryskulova, vice president of the American University of Central Asia, and Emma Harden Wolfson, assistant professor at McGill University. The panelists shared the experiences of their higher education institutions and exchanged views on new trends in global higher education and regional development opportunities.
During the discussions, the growing role of Central Asia in the global higher education space, innovative approaches to university management, opportunities for international cooperation, and the importance of higher education in addressing the challenges facing society were widely discussed.
