A seminar titled "What Should an Inclusive Classroom Environment Look Like?" was held on May 18, 2026, by doctoral student Yasaman Ibayeva, jointly organised by Graduate School of Science, Art and Technology and the Department of Education of Khazar University.
The presenter is pursuing doctoral studies in Education at the University of Bristol, UK, under a trilateral agreement with the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Khazar, within the "State Programme on Increasing the International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019–2023."
During the seminar, detailed information was presented on the key characteristics of an inclusive classroom environment and the ways in which it can be effectively established. The presentation covered the essence of inclusive education, the distinctions between the concepts of integration and inclusivity, as well as the core components of an inclusive classroom environment — encompassing physical, psychological, social, and teaching-assessment dimensions. In addition, participants were acquainted with the role of the teacher in the inclusive education process, differentiated instructional strategies, and practical classroom examples. The primary objective of the seminar was to highlight the importance of creating an inclusive learning environment that embraces diversity and supports the participation and development of all students.
