Based on an application submitted by Khazar University to the "Azerbaijan Accreditation Centre" public legal entity (AzAK), the accreditation process of the Construction Materials Scientific Research and Testing Laboratory in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2020 "General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories" has been successfully completed. It should be noted that the Azerbaijan Accreditation Centre has been a correspondent member of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) since 2012 and an associate member since 2018. The ILAC agreement supports the development of global cooperation by ensuring the international recognition of test results obtained in laboratories across various countries.
Following analyses conducted by the evaluation commission established by AzAK, it was determined that the laboratory fully complies with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Accreditation in the Field of Conformity Assessment" and the requirements of the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2020. In this regard, the Construction Materials Scientific Research and Testing Laboratory of Khazar University has been accredited in the relevant areas. The accreditation certificate of the conformity assessment body, along with the laboratory's scope of accreditation and regulations, was presented to the laboratory director Dr. Rasim Bayramli by AzAK Director Emil Zeynalov.
It is particularly worth noting that the Construction Materials Scientific Research and Testing Laboratory is the first laboratory at Khazar University to receive this type of accreditation.
