The Department of English Language and Literature successfully organized a professional development session titled “Teacher Professional Development” on February 5, 2026. The session was conducted by Michael Sipper, U.S. Fulbright English Instructor.
The session was designed to support English language educators by addressing contemporary teaching challenges and introducing innovative classroom practices. Key topics included classroom management and student engagement for Generation Z, constructing efficient and effective AI prompts, and support in accent and diction to help teachers sound more like native speakers.
In addition, the session explored gamification, debates, and case studies as effective tools to enhance students’ language acquisition and active participation in the learning process.
The session encouraged interactive discussion, allowing participants to exchange ideas, ask questions, and reflect on practical teaching strategies.
