English Language and Literature Department Head and Professor’s Article Published in “Open Cultural Studies”

Prof. Milana Abbasova and Dr. Muhammad Imran of Khazar University's English Language and Literature Department have published an article titled “Reframing Code-Switching in Anglo-French Humour: A Genre-Based Comparative Study" in the Open Cultural Studies Scopus and ISI Q2 journal by De Gyuter.

This study examines how code-switching functions differently across a comedy film, stand-up performance, and bilingual jokes in Anglo-French humour, showing that genre-specific conventions shape the communicative and comedic purposes of language alternation.
