On June 18, 2025, the defense of the dissertation by Ragsana Suleymanova, a master's student in "Azerbaijani Literature" specialty at the Department of Languages and Literature, was held. Her dissertation topic was "Triple Approach in Critical Methodology: Professional Criticism, Writer and Reader Criticism (Based on Contemporary Azerbaijani Prose Technology)."

The defense was conducted under the chairmanship of Associate Professor Mehman Həsənli, Acting Director of the Literature Institute named after N. Ganjavi of ANAS. After listening to the candidate, the scientific supervisor of the research work - Professor Badirkhan Ahmedov, Doctor of Sciences in Philology, Head of the Azerbaijan-Asia Literary Relations Department of the Literature Institute named after N. Ganjavi of ANAS, and the reviewer - Medine Karahan, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology, Library Director of Khazar University "World" School, made their presentations.

The members of the defense council - Associate Professor Dilber Zeynalova, Associate Professor Khatira Yusifova, Associate Professor Ulvi Babasoy, and Dr. Gulshane Khudiyeva - engaged in discussions regarding the boundaries of professional criticism, writer and reader criticism, which are among the current problems of recent periods in literary criticism methodology in world and Azerbaijani literary studies. The master's student's scientific work was evaluated as satisfactory.
