On June 16-19, 2025 Global Sustainable Development Congress 2025 was held by the Times Higher Education at the Istanbul Congress Center. Khazar University is represented by Lyudmila Sotova, Head of the Quality Assurance Center, and Fatima Valiyeva, Head of the International Affairs Office.

The congress features participation from a delegation of nearly 50 representatives from 12 leading higher education institutions of Azerbaijan, under the leadership of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Agency for Science and Higher Education.

The event program includes panel discussions, info sessions, and an exhibition. At the exhibition, Khazar University staff deliver information about the university's activities, research areas, rankings, international student admissions, and scholarship opportunities. Furthermore, Khazar University representatives visit other university booths and engaging in discussions to explore new cooperation opportunities.
