On May 15, 2025, a seminar on "Human Rights in Education" was held for first-year students at Khazar University, organized by the Law Department within the framework of the "National Action Program for Enhancing the Effectiveness of Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms in the Republic of Azerbaijan." The seminar was presented by the Head of the Law Department, Doctor of Philosophy in Law, Associate Professor Jabir Khalilov.
The main objective of the seminar dedicated to "Human Rights in Education" was to provide students with fundamental knowledge about the role and importance of the right to education within the human rights system. The event discussed international and national legal norms, the state's role in ensuring accessibility and quality of education, as well as existing problems and challenges in this field.
During the seminar, which took place in an interactive and active environment, students showed great interest in the topic and asked numerous questions not only about general concepts related to human rights, but also about specific situations concerning daily student life. During the discussions, issues such as the right to free education, prevention of discrimination in educational institutions, and students' right to participate in the educational process were addressed.
At the end of the seminar, participants expressed their gratitude for the knowledge they had gained on the topic and stated their desire for such events to continue in the future.
