An article titled "Organization and Characteristics of Essay Writing" by Dr. Sevinj Qambarova, Coordinator of the Languages Division at Khazar University's Department of Languages and Literature, has been published in the scientific-methodological journal "Azerbaijani Language and Literature Teaching" of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan (2025, volume 71, issue 2). The journal is included in the list of scientific publications recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission. It is also indexed in more than 20 international scientific databases including ERIH PLUS, Index Copernicus, MIAR, ROAD, and others.

The article demonstrates that the use of various types of writing, particularly essay writing, starting from elementary grades plays an important role in developing students' critical and creative thinking. The selection of topics for different types of essay writing, preparation of plans, and proper organization of the entire preparation process are of great importance. Essay writing was addressed in traditional education. In active education, however, along with essay writing, essay types are also utilized. The author believes that both of these writing types have the same essence. For this reason, maintaining one of them in teaching would be more appropriate.
