An article titled "Cellular and individual toxicity of diflubenzuron for the chronic exposure in Daphnia magna: focus on oxidative stress, chitin content, and reproductive outcomes" by Gunay Karimova, a 2016 bachelor's graduate in History and Geography from Khazar University, currently a doctoral student at Korea University and Korean Government Scholarship recipient, has been published in the "Ecotoxicology" journal (2025, Volume 34, Issue 4). Rovshan Abbasov, a faculty member of the Geography and Environment Department at Khazar University, is a co-author of the article.
The article investigates the harmful effects of insect growth regulators such as diflubenzuron (DFB) on water fleas (Daphnia magna), a key aquatic organism in water ecosystems, at environmentally relevant concentrations.
