On May 16, 2025, a presentation of the Ministry of Science and Education's "Teaching of Azerbaijani Language and Literature" scientific-methodological journal and its special issue titled "Language Policy and National Identity: Historical Heritage, Contemporary Approaches," dedicated to the "Year of Constitution and Sovereignty," was held at Khazar University. Dr. Sevinj Qambarova, coordinator of the Languages Division of the Department of Languages and Literature, and Parvin Karimova, deputy dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, spoke about the great benefit of such meetings for young researchers. Gulnar Aliyeva, acting editor-in-chief of the journal, delivered a comprehensive presentation about the journal's establishment, history, development, requirements for accepted articles, international scientific databases where the journal is indexed, and gave the floor to authors whose articles were published in the special issue.
Professor Ismayil Kazimov, head of the "Turkic Languages" department at ANAS Nasimi Institute of Linguistics, spoke on "The Flow of Language or Modern Azerbaijani Language as One of the Prestigious and Sovereign Languages," Professor Minakhanim Nuriyeva Taklali from ASPU's "Azerbaijani Language and Its Teaching Technology" department presented on "Our Language - Our Concerns: Considerations, Opinions, Suggestions." Members of the editorial board of the "Azerbaijani Language and Literature" scientific-methodological journal, Associate Professors Bilal Hasanli and Soltan Huseynoglu from ASPU's "Literature Teaching Technology" department, spoke about their long-term cooperation experience with the publication and highly evaluated the journal's role in the scientific and educational environment.
Professor Matanat Abdullayeva, head of Baku State University's "Teaching Methodology of Azerbaijani Language and Literature" department, emphasized the journal's scientific significance in the field of methodology and highly evaluated future scientific cooperation possibilities. Associate Professor Zabita Taymurlu from Baku Engineering University's "Azerbaijani Language and Pedagogy" department and Dr. Sevinj Qambarova, lecturer at Khazar University, presented the main points of their articles on "The Place of Azerbaijani Language in Academic Communication" published in the special issue, touching upon the topic's relevance and the journal's scientific importance.
Sehran Safarov, who served as the journal's editor-in-chief in recent years and currently chairs the Khatai District Committee of the Azerbaijan Education Workers' Free Trade Union, spoke at the event, sharing his thoughts on the publication's recent activities, emphasizing the scientific and social importance of the special issue, and wishing success to the journal's creative team.
The event was attended by Dr. Ulduz Qahramanova, acting associate professor from ASPU's "Literature" department, Aynur Badalova, lecturer from the "Azerbaijani Language and Its Teaching Technology" department, Dr. Sahila Ibrahimova, senior lecturer from the "Modern Azerbaijani Language" department, Dr. Gunel Hummatova, senior lecturer from the "Literature Teaching Technology" department, lecturers from Khazar University and World School, as well as graduate students, students, and young researchers.
