On April 24, 2025, the Department of Languages and Literatures at Khazar University hosted the presentation of the book “Historical Novel in Azerbaijani Literature”, authored by Dr. Konul Gulusoy, a faculty member at Kafkas University (Kars, Türkiye), and published in Türkiye. The event brought together faculty members of the Department of Languages and Literatures, students of philology and history education, Professor B. Ahmadov from the Institute of Literature of ANAS, Ali Shamil from the Institute of Folklore, Turan Ibrahimov — son of the prominent writer and literary scholar Aziza Jafarzade — as well as guests from other universities.

The head of the Department of Languages and Literatures, Associate Professor Dilbar Zeynalova, opened the event, emphasizing the significance of the book for students of philology and history. Dr. Konul Gulusoy spoke about the necessity that led her to write this work, which is the result of extensive research, and provided detailed information on the book’s content and chapters. Following her speech, Professor Badirkhan Ahmadov, Turan Ibrahimov, Associate Professor Ziver Huseynli Baylan, and other guests noted that the book would be beneficial both in Azerbaijan and Türkiye.

At the end of the event, the author Dr. Konul Gulusoy donated a copy of “Historical Novel in Azerbaijani Literature” to the Khazar University library.
