On April 23, 2025, Khazar University Library and Information Center held an event dedicated to “23 April – World Book and Copyright Day.”
The event was opened by the Deputy Director of the Library and Information Center, Aytaj Misgarli, who provided information about the history, origin, and significance of this day. She noted that the decision regarding this celebration was adopted at the UNESCO General Conference held in Paris in 1995. Since 1996, this remarkable day has been observed worldwide.
During the event, students and library staff engaged in a broad discussion about the history of the book, its development over time, the importance of books in the modern era, and particularly their role in the lives of students.
