On April 17, 2025, the final stage of the “GreenTech II” Startup and Green Technologies Competition was held at Azerbaijan Technological University in Ganja, supported by the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Innovation and Digital Development Agency.
The competition brought together 80 teams from 30 higher education institutions across the country. Teams competed in four key categories: Digital Ecology, Robotics, Green Transport Technologies, and Social Innovations for Sustainable Development, striving for first, second, third, and encouragement awards.
Khazar University’s third-year Chemical Engineering students — Javidan Shukurov, Nihat Mammadli, and Rana Asgarova — distinguished themselves by winning third place in the Digital Ecology category.
Their project stood out for its innovative approach to utilizing digital technologies in harmony with ecological balance and environmental protection. During the competition, the team showcased their concept in an exhibition format, presenting it to participants and the panel of judges.
Winning teams were awarded certificates and prizes in recognition of their achievements.
