On April 15, 2025, a special lecture was held at Khazar University within the framework of the course “History of Turkic States and Cultures” taught by the Head of the Department of History and Archaeology, Assoc. Prof. Telman Nusratoghlu. The session featured the participation of guest lecturer Dr. Hayri Şener from Türkiye.
The class focused on the historical and political significance of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, a strategic point of the Turkic world in the Mediterranean basin. Dr. Hayri Şener and Assoc. Prof. Telman Nusratoghlu jointly explored the “Cyprus dossier” with the students, underlining the island’s strategic and cultural importance for the Turkic world from past to present.
The lecture continued in an interactive format, allowing students to pose questions and gain detailed insights into the historical roots, international legal dimensions, and future perspectives of the Cyprus issue.
