On April 10, 2025, a preliminary discussion was held at Khazar University regarding the PhD dissertation submitted by Babak Emdadi, a doctoral student of the Department of Physics and Electronics, on the topic “Synthesis and Characterization of Quantum Dot Nanoparticles and Their Application in Photonic Devices” for the academic degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the specialty of “Nanotechnology and Nanomaterials.”
The discussion was attended by the doctoral student’s academic supervisor Ahmad Asimov, reviewers specializing in the relevant field, staff members from the Institute of Physics of the Ministry of Science and Education, faculty members of the department, Dean of the School of Natural Sciences, Arts and Technology Gunel Bahaeddinova, and Dean of the School of Science and Engineering Fakhranda Alimardanova.
The meeting was opened by the chair of the session, Associate Professor Farida Tatardar, Head of the Department of Physics and Electronics. Afterwards, the secretary of the session, Sevinc Guluzade, provided general information about the candidate. Then, doctoral student Babak Emdadi presented a brief summary of his dissertation to the participants.
The discussion continued with a Q&A session and individual speeches. At the end, a decision was made to advance Babak Emdadi’s dissertation to the next stage.
