"The most significant benefit I've gained from participating in the student exchange program in Türkiye has been the impetus to integrate cosmic diplomacy into my diplomatic studies.
In my estimation, space diplomacy constitutes an extraordinarily vital field in contemporary times. My aspirations for the future revolve around further developing my expertise in this domain to make substantial contributions to our nation's advancement in space diplomacy. My objective is to represent Azerbaijan globally in this field and to contribute to strengthening our country's position within the framework of its space strategy through 2030."
These sentiments were articulated to AZERTAC by Matlab Samidli, a political science student at Khazar University and son of Colonel Babek Samidli, a martyr of the Patriotic War.
Matlab, who is participating in an exchange program in Türkiye focusing on space, aerospace, aviation, innovation, technical sciences, artificial intelligence, and engineering disciplines alongside other Azerbaijani students, emphasized that one of the most substantial advantages afforded by the project has been socialization: "Our acquaintance with Türkiye’s technology students today could potentially establish foundations for collaborative endeavors in the future. Here, we are engaged in productive experiences across fields that will support our future development, including space, technology subjects, and artificial intelligence. I am exceedingly fortunate to have been granted these opportunities. Beyond acquiring practical experience, we are also cultivating exceptional relationships. I wish to express my profound gratitude to the organizers."
It should be noted that students from Azerbaijani universities are undertaking exchange programs in Türkiye in the fields of space, aerospace, aviation, innovation, technical sciences, artificial intelligence, and engineering.
The project is being implemented under the organization of "Azercosmos" COSMIC Academy with support from Türkiye’s Gökmen Aerospace and Aviation Center, as well as in collaboration with Azerbaijan's Ministry of Education, State Agency for Science and Higher Education, and SABAH groups. Three children of martyrs and veterans have been incorporated into the project through collaboration with the "Zafar" organization.
