A Nowruz celebration was held at Khazar University on March 19, 2025. The event was attended by university leadership, staff members, students, and guests from Türkiye - Assoc. Prof. Mehdi Ganjali from Marmara University, Assoc. Prof. Resul Köse from Health Sciences University, Dr. Orhan Baldane from Pamukkale University and Dr. Azad Agaoglu from Istanbul University.

Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, founder of Khazar University and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, addressed the gathering, extending his congratulations to all participants and wishing them success in their personal lives, education, and professional endeavors. He emphasized the symbolic significance of Khazar University's official establishment on March 18, 1991, coinciding with the Nowruz holiday period. Following his remarks, Professor Isakhanli ignited the traditional Nowruz bonfire, officially commencing the festivities.

The university's female student dance ensemble (under the artistic direction of Sabina Ismayilova), along with university faculty members ashug Ramin Garayev and vocalist Mahsati Azafli, presented a concert program for the attendees.

The celebration continued with students participating in mass dancing around the bonfire and concluded in a jubilant atmosphere.
