On February 26, 2025, a commemoration ceremony marking the 33rd anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy was held at Khazar University, organized by the Department of History and Archaeology. Dr. Sohrab Mustafayev, lecturer at the Department of History and Archaeology, and Associate Professor Boran Azizli from Baku State University's Department of Azerbaijan History (for humanities departmens) delivered speeches at the event. The speeches highlighted the essence of the Khojaly events, the spirit of struggle demonstrated by our people for national independence and territorial integrity, and the atrocities committed against our people.

The university's faculty members and students participated in the ceremony.
