A delegation from Khazar University conducted official meetings at King Abdulaziz University and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) during a business visit to Saudi Arabia on January 14-15, 2025.
The Khazar University delegation comprised Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees; Professor Isaxan Isakhanli, Vice-Rector for Management and Student Affairs; Dr. Raziya Isayeva, Dean of the School of Economics and Management; Professor Ingilab Ahmadov, Dean of the Graduate School of Economics and Business; Dr. Fakhranda Afandiyeva, Dean of the School of Science and Engineering; Dr. Gunel Bahaddinova, Dean of the Graduate School of Science, Art and Technology; and Fatima Valiyeva, Head of International Relations Department.
During their visit to King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, the delegation toured various faculties and research centers. They first familiarized themselves with the scientific research conducted at the King Fahd Medical Research Center. Subsequently, they held introductory meetings with the Faculty of Tourism, Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, and sports facilities. Tourism faculty students warmly welcomed the guests. The delegation discussed potential collaboration opportunities during their meeting with Dr. Tareef Yousuf Alaama, President of King Abdulaziz University, and vice-rectors.
On January 15, the delegation visited King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Thuwal. An initial meeting was held with Professor Omar Knio, Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs, Professor Arwa Al-Aama, and the Vice President's Advisor - Director of Educational Partnerships and Recruitment Department, to discuss cooperation possibilities. Both universities shared information about their respective activities. Subsequently, an informational tour of KAUST's modern laboratories, museum, and library was organized. A luncheon was hosted with the university administration, faculty members, and students.
During the meetings and presentations, extensive discussions were held regarding the implementation of joint projects, student exchange programs, and opportunities for scientific research collaboration between the two universities.
The visit concluded with a commemorative photo session and exchange of gifts.
