A delegation from Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) of North Cyprus paid an official visit to Khazar University on January 6, 2025. The high-level meeting brought together EMU's Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kilic, Coordinator of Institutional Development and International Academic Relations Assoc. Prof. Cahit Ezel, and Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. Hayrettin Ozan Gulcan. The Khazar University side was represented by Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, along with vice-rectors, deans, and heads of academic departments.

During the meeting, Head of International Relations Office Fatima Valiyeva delivered a comprehensive presentation about Khazar University, while EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kilic showcased the achievements and prospects of Eastern Mediterranean University. The discussions primarily focused on developing academic cooperation and strengthening bilateral relations between the two institutions.

The meeting culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding. The event concluded with an exchange of commemorative gifts between the parties.
