On December 9, 2024, a seminar by political expert Ramiz Yunus on "Global Geopolitical Processes, Their Impacts, and Potential Risks for the South Caucasus Region" was held at Khazar University. The seminar was organized by the School of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences and moderated by the Dean's Assistant, Parvin Karimova. The seminar was attended by Khazar University's Director of Public Relations and Media, Alovsat Amirbayli, Department of History and Archaeology instructors Dr. Yagub Mammadov, Dr. Sohrab Mustafayev, Jeyran Mammadova, students studying History Teaching and History and Geography Teaching specialties, as well as public and cultural figures, including Honored Artist Javanshir Guliyev.

The speaker shared insights on the Russia-Ukraine war, Israel-Palestine conflicts, Syrian events and their regional impacts, as well as the realities in the region after the Patriotic War, the Zangezur corridor, the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace agreement, and other related issues. The event concluded with extensive discussions addressing questions and concerns raised by guests, instructors, and students.
