Dr. Yagub Mammadov, a teacher from Khazar University's Department of History and Archaeology and a leading researcher at ANAS Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology, participated and presented at a scientific seminar dedicated to Paleolithic period studies in Azerbaijan, held at Baku State University on December 11, 2024.

In his presentation, Dr. Yagub Mammadov provided comprehensive information about research conducted over the past 70 years in the study of the ancient stone age and the results obtained by the "Gazakh Paleolithic Archaeological Expedition" under his leadership. He noted that this year, under his supervision, an archaeological exploration was conducted in the Aghstafa-Gazakh regions, and a new Middle Paleolithic site (Jandar Lake Paleolithic workshop) was recorded. At the end of his presentation, he answered questions from students and graduate students.
