On December 11th, an event on the topic "Internationalization of Science and Higher Education" was organized by the State Agency for Science and Higher Education at the Ritz-Carlton hotel.

At the event, State Agency for Science and Higher Education Director Ulker Sattarova emphasized the purpose and importance of the event from the perspective of internationalization of science and higher education.

Science and Education Minister Emin Amrullayev addressed the increase of university international rankings, stimulation of research processes, organizing activities for science development, and other related issues. Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev highlighted the importance of foreign students studying in Azerbaijan as a tool of inter-country public diplomacy.

The event continued with panel sessions on several topics.

At the end, an award ceremony was held. Khazar University received a certificate of appreciation for distinguishing itself in the "Internationalization of Science and Higher Education" field.

Participating from Khazar University were: Fakhrada Afandiyeva, Dean of the School of Science and Engineering; Gunel Bahaddinova, Dean of the Graduate School of Science, Arts and Technology; and Fatima Valiyeva, Head of the International Relations Department.
