Head of Department at International Conference

Assoc. Prof. Orkhan Valiyev, Head of the Department of Political Science and Philosophy, was invited to the Second International Conference organized by the Western Azerbaijan Community, titled "The Right of Return: Advancing Justice for Azerbaijanis Expelled from Armenia."

More than 200 participants from 51 countries, including parliament members, public-political figures, civil society activists, and scientists, attended the conference held in Baku on December 5-6, 2024.

President Ilham Aliyev's address to the conference participants was read during the opening ceremony.

At the conference, Aziz Alakbarli, Chairman of the Board of the West Azerbaijan Community and Member of the Milli Majlis, Mevlut Cavusoglu, former Foreign Minister of Türkiye and Head of the Turkish Grand National Assembly's NATO PA delegation, and others delivered speeches.

The conference's final document was adopted at the end of the event.
