Associate Professor Orkhan Valiyev, Head of the Department of Political Sciences and Philosophy, participated in the TRT WORLD FORUM, one of the world's prestigious events, which was held for the eighth time this year. The forum, organized by TRT WORLD channel on November 29-30, 2024, was dedicated to the theme "The World at a Breaking Point: Managing Crises and Changes".

The forum's opening was realized with a profound speech by the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Continuing with speeches by special guests and thematic panels, the forum brought together specialists, politicians, and academics from various countries around the world. On the forum's second day, significant discussions were held with the participation of Türkiye's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hakan Fidan.

Assoc. Prof. Orkhan Valiyev spoke as a speaker in the panel dedicated to the topic "Central Asia and the Caucasus". The panel was attended by high-level representatives from the Turkic States Organization (TDT), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, and other regional organizations. During the discussions, President Ilham Aliyev's words "Our family is the Turkic World" were particularly emphasized, and extensive exchanges of opinion were held on the topic of unity among Turkic states.

In his speech, Assoc. Prof. Valiyev recalled President Ilham Aliyev's point raised at the Bishkek Summit (2024) that the organization's budget is insufficient to implement its strategic objectives and noted the importance of taking necessary steps in this direction.

The forum not only served as a platform for international cooperation on managing global crises and changes but also created a significant opportunity to discuss the future perspectives of the Turkic World.
