On November 5, 2024, a  seminar on "Clean Water, Clean Air: Sustainable Solutions" was conducted by Tahir Javadzadeh, lecturer of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, as a part of COP29 and Green World Solidarity events at Khazar University. The seminar was attended by university administration, lecturers, and students.

In his speech, the speaker talked about effective solutions for cleaning waste water from oil industry pollutants, especially heavy metals, which has been an actual problem for a long time in the country, mainly on the Absheron peninsula. Moreover, he presented comprehensive information about his research focusing on the catalytic conversion of carbon dioxide, a pressing global issue, into valuable compounds using novel synthetic catalysts.

The session concluded with discussions, during which the presenter addressed questions from the audience.
