Isaxan Isaxanli, Vice-Rector for Management and Student Affairs at Khazar University and Professor of the Department of Languages and Literature, participated in an event titled "Sergei Yesenin's Past, Present and Future Friends" dedicated to the 129th anniversary of the birth of great Russian poet Sergei Yesenin at the National Museum of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi on October 3, 2024.
The Director of the Literature Museum, academician Rafael Huseynov, provided detailed information about Isaxan Isaxanli's research on Yesenin in his speech and highly appreciated his work in this field. At the event, Isaxan Isaxanli delivered a presentation on "The Place and Role of the Baku Period in Sergei Yesenin's Life and Works." The presentation, accompanied by interesting and rare photos from Yesenin's Baku period, was well-received.
At the end, the literary section began, and a concert program was held. During the program, schoolchildren recited Yesenin's poems and read their Azerbaijani translations. Among the translations read was Isaxan Isaxanli's translation of Yesenin's poem "Letter to Mother," which was performed by schoolchildren from the Khazar district.
