On October 4, 2024, the International Relations Department of Khazar University held an orientation day for newly admitted international students. During the event, new students were informed about rules and procedures, as well as useful advice for living in Azerbaijan.

The event began with welcoming remarks from Assoc. Prof. Irada Khalilova, Rector of Khazar University, and Fatima Valiyeva, Head of the International Relations Department, who wished the students success in their university life. Ingilab Ahmadov, Dean of the Graduate School of Economics and Business; Gunel Bahaddinova, Acting Dean of the Graduate School of Science, Art, and Technology; Vafa Aslanova, Deputy Dean for Student Affairs of the School of Natural Sciences and Engineering; Khanim Nabiyeva, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management; and Aygun Verdiyeva, Acting Dean of the School of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences, provided essential information about the educational process to the international students. Afterwards, the new students introduced themselves to the audience and got acquainted with each other.

Fatima Valiyeva, Head of the International Relations Department, delivered a presentation about Khazar University, while Ilgara Abdullayeva, the department's coordinator, informed students about Azerbaijan, its culture, as well as migration issues. Alisa Nazirzade, President of the Khazar ESN Initiative Group - International Students' Club at Khazar University, and Vice President Aduagba Yahaya Abdullahi provided detailed information about the Erasmus program, while the Debate, KuTalks, Music, and Economics clubs shared information about their respective clubs.

International students already studying at the university also shared their experiences and knowledge about Azerbaijan with the new students.
