On June 3-4, 2024, Jakob Bornio, a representative from the University of Wroclaw in Poland, along with Ece Kanbur, Dincer Kanbur, and Muhammed Melih Gunduz from Balıkesir University in Turkey, visited Khazar University as part of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Exchange Program (Erasmus+ KA107171) and engaged with the departments of Political Science and Philosophy, as well as International Relations.
On the first day, after the introductions were completed, representatives from both universities gave presentations. Fatima Valiyeva, head of the International Relations Department, and Arzu Badalova, the international relations coordinator, attended the meeting. During the meeting, Arzu Badalova provided detailed information about Khazar University and guided the guests on a campus tour.
On the second day, Fatima Valiyeva gave a comprehensive presentation on Khazar University's activities within the Erasmus+ exchange program, followed by a discussion on the guests' experiences in this area. The program continued with Dr. Jakob Bornio's seminar on "South Caucasus in Poland's Eastern Policy." Afterwards, the rector of the university, Assoc. Prof. Irada Khalilova, welcomed the guests, presenting them with certificates and gifts.
The program concluded with a visit to the Ateshgah Temple.
