On June 7, 2024, Ulviyya Ahmadova, a faculty member and doctoral student in the Department of Languages and Literatures, presented her thesis titled "Azerbaijani National Independence Struggle and Gultekin Poetry" at Dissertation Council No. ED 1.31, which operates at the Nizami Ganjavi National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature, aiming to earn a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Philology.
Her dissertation defense was successful. Supervisor Badirkhan Ahmadov, along with professors Kamil Allahyarov, Jalil Nagiyev, Abuzar Bagirov, Doctor of Sciences Irada Musayeva, and the primary advisor, renowned folklorist Ali Shamil, among others, discussed the merits of her work.
Subsequently, opponents Yagub Babayev, Rafig Novruzov, and Nurana Asadullayeva shared their opinions and considerations on the topic, stating that the candidate had worked comprehensively on the scientific research.
