On June 4, 2024, the 'For Azerbaijan' organization donated 25 copies of 'Written Exposure Therapy in Posttraumatic Stress Disorder' to Khazar University's library. Established in the USA in 2021 and registered in Azerbaijan, 'For Azerbaijan' is a charitable organization collaborating on social initiatives with government bodies and private sector representatives.
The organization offers educational, health, and psychological support services to those in need. Alongside numerous annual social projects, 'For Azerbaijan' also maintains its long-standing initiative, Increasing Psychological Rehabilitation Opportunities in Azerbaijan (IPROA). As a key aspect of this effort, local psychologists in Azerbaijan received training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Written Exposure Therapy (WET), crucial methods for treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder commonly used in the United States.
Under this project, the book 'Written Exposure Therapy in PTSD', authored by American professors Denise M. Sloan and Brian I. Marx, was published and presented to psychology experts. This book serves as a primary instructional resource for psychologists specializing in Written Exposure Therapy, the leading PTSD treatment method in the US, and is also utilized as an educational tool in universities. Another book, 'Cognitive Processing Therapy in PTSD cases', will soon be published as part of this ongoing project.
