From April 29 to May 1, 2024, the 5th International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Researchers "Oil and Gas Geology and Engineering" dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the Baku Higher Oil School.

Arif Rustamov, a second-year graduate student of Khazar University, was awarded 2nd place in the " Subsurface " section on the topic "Production Forecasting Using Machine Learning ". Its scientific supervisor is Khazar University teacher Dr. Grigorii Penkov.

At the same time, Arif Rustamov was awarded 3rd place in the "Geology and Geophysics" section on the topic " Machine Learning-Based Predictive Modelling of Porosity for Geological Applications ". His adviser on this topic is Khazar University faculty member Rashad Nazaraliyev.
