Faculty Member of Bogazici University's Physics and Khazar University's Mathematics Departments Receives "Young Scientist" Award

Ilmar Gahramanov, an employee of Bogazici University's Physics and Khazar University's Mathematics Departments, PhD in Physics, was awarded the "Young Scientist" award of the Science Academy, a non-governmental organization in Türkiye. The Academy's Award Committee seeks to recognize the most talented young scientists working in Türkiye who are expected to achieve significant success in their future endeavors. The award also includes a scholarship to support the winners' scientific research. Ilmar Gahramanov is an expert in areas of mathematical and theoretical physics such as high energy physics, supersymmetry, string theory and integrable systems.

Ilmar Gahramanov, who has been working at Bogazici University since 2019, received his PhD from the Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany, and worked as a post-doctoral student at the Albert Einstein Institute of Gravitational Physics of the Max Planck Society in Potsdam for two years. Ilmar Gahramanov also works in the Mathematics Department of Khazar University and is a member of the Center for Mathematics and its Applications operating at the university.
