The next event within the framework of the "Discover, read, promote" literature volunteer promotion project implemented by the World Young Turkish Writers Union with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held at Khazar University on May 20, 2024.
Yeqzar Jafarli, lecturer from the Department of Languages and Literatures, began the event with a welcoming speech and then introduced Dr. Gardashkhan Azizkhanli, a poet and fellow lecturer in the department, who greeted the guests and discussed the significance of artistic expression and the project.
Following this, Akbar Goshali, a poet-publicist and expert from the Culture Committee of the Milli Majlis and head of the Advisory Council of the World Young Turkish Writers Union, addressed the current state of literary volunteerism. The union's head, poet-publicist Intigam Yashar, along with poets Taleh Mansur, Saddam Lachin, and Valeh Goca, shared insights about the union's literary initiatives and recited their poems featured in the "Literary Collection-2024" published under the project.
Assoc. Prof. Zivar Huseynli-Baylan, Dr. Zamina Ziyayeva, Dr. Almaz Badalova and Dr. Madina Karahan, lecturers of the Department of Languages and Literatures of Khazar University, spoke about the importance of such events in their speeches. Later, Ayla Yusifova, a student of the Department of Languages and Literatures, performed Khayala Sevil's "My Heart Punished", and Ravana Maharramova performed Hasan Kur's "Letter from the Front".
At the end, all the participants were presented with books published by World Young Turkish Writers Union, diplomas were given to the students who were active in the event, and a commemorative photo was taken.
