On May 16, 2024, a round table entitled "Art and nature relations: Man Comes to the Forest" was held in the Department of Languages and Literatures of Khazar University as part of the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World". The event was opened by the lecturer of the department, Dr. Roya Murshudova, who spoke about the relationship between art and nature in the context of Azerbaijani literature, and the role of literature in solving environmental problems. The poet Agshin Yenisey, who participated in the event as a guest, gave extensive information about the concepts of "eco-literature" and "eco-criticism", talked about the possibilities of fiction in protecting nature, and the relations between man and nature in mythology, classical and contemporary Azerbaijani literature.
At the event, lecturers of the department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ulvi Babasoy, Dr. Zamina Ziyayeva, Dr. Reyhan Madatova, expressed their thoughts and opinions on the topic. In the end, the students recited the poems written by Agshin Yenisey on nature, and the poet answered their questions about the topic.
