In our country, various initiatives are underway in preparation for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change - COP 29, which will be held in Baku this November. Khazar University is actively involved in organizing events related to this significant international conference, which holds importance not only for the nation but also for the global community. One such initiative is the education of university students on various aspects related to COP 29.
On May 15, 2024, the lecturer of the University's Department of History and Archeology Bayram Guliyev, PhD in History, presented an open lecture for students on the topic "Environmental Terrorism Committed in Occupied Lands". B. Guliyev, who shared the knowledge he gained by visiting a large part of Karabakh in the context of environmental terrorism, used comparative photos depicting the regions before and after liberation from occupation into his presentation.
