On November 6, 2023, a musical literary-artistic event dedicated to Victory Day was organized by Parvin Karimova, a lecturer of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, and students in the Marble Hall of Khazar University. The university's management, staff, and students, along with parents and children of martyrs, veterans, and other distinguished guests, attended the event.
Following a moment of silence to honor the memory of the martyrs, the students' choir, conducted by university lecturer Mahsati Jabbarova, performed the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the event, Prof.Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, the founder of Khazar University and chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, delivered a speech, emphasizing the significant importance of Victory Day in the history of Azerbaijan's independence and in the life of the country and its people. In her speech, Elza Samadova, the dean of the School of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences, discussed the inception of the Army Aid Fund at the university during the early days of the Patriotic War and its continuous support with great enthusiasm until Victory Day.
The speeches by Teymur Huseynov, the father of Martyr Rafael Huseynov, Matanat Mammadova, the mother of Martyr Fuad Mammadov, and Malakkhanim Iskanderli, the daughter of Martyr Alizamin Iskenderov and a student of the university, evoked profound sadness and immense pride. The event also featured a video tribute for each martyr and an artistic composition performed by students.
During the event, students recited poems dedicated to the Patriotic War and Victory. Mustafa Khalilov, a student, recited his poem titled “Mən ölüm, yaşasın Vətənim mənim”.
The event featured a musical program. The university's girls' dance group performed the " Sarı gəlin " and other national dances, while student Yeman Aliyeva sang " Xudayar təsnifi." Ravan Huseynzade, a student of the University of Culture and Arts, performed the song " Azərbaycan-anaların anası." The event concluded with students waving Azerbaijani and Turkish flags, accompanied by applause.
