On May 16, 2022, Khazar University conducted a meeting to delve into carbon management, reviewing efforts to curtail carbon dioxide emissions and minimize overall energy consumption. The gathering was attended by a group of volunteers established by the "Physics and Electronics" and "Mechanical Engineering" departments, dedicated to lowering energy consumption. University employees were also present at the meeting. The established team of volunteers elucidated energy-saving methods and provided updates on their efforts to inspire both staff and students to adopt energy-efficient practices. They emphasized that the University has forsaken carbon-intensive energy sources, notably coal and oil, in favor of cleaner natural gas fuel.
