On October 10, 2023, a meeting took place at the Embassy with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Azerbaijan, Essam bin Saleh Al-Jutaili.

The meeting was attended by the founder of Khazar University and chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, rector of the University, Associate Professor Irada Khalilova, director of Public Relations and Media Alovsat Amirbayli, dean of the Graduate School of Economics and Business Ingilab Ahmadov, and the head of the International Relations Department Fatima Valiyeva.

Views were exchanged on the importance of relations between Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, strengthening bilateral relations and partnerships with educational institutions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The meeting provided information about the educational system of Khazar University and the programs offered to students.

According to the ambassador, Khazar University has been recognized by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

At the end of the meeting, both parties presented gifts.
