Khazar University faculty member in archaeological research

On July 14-August 12, Yagub Mammadov, PhD in History, instructor of the Department of History and Archeology of Khazar University, participated in archaeological exploration in Guba-Gusar region as part of the “Paleolithic archaeological expedition”. As a result, more than five new Paleolithic finds belonging to the Lower and Middle Paleolithic period were recorded in the territory of those regions.

In addition to this, Y.Mammadov visited the Azikh and Taghlar caves located in the liberated Khojavand region for monitoring purposes. It should be noted that research is planned to be carried out here in the near future.
