On June 17-21, 2023, within the Erasmus+ Staff Exchange Program (KA171), three professors from the Technical University of Bragança (Instituto Politécnico de Bragança) - Hélder Teixeira Gomes (Chemical Engineering), António Borges Fernandes (Management) and Olena Dolid ( Department of International Relations) visited Khazar University.

On the first day of the program, rector of the university Associate Professor Irada Khalilova, vice-rector for International Relations Vlad Vernygora, dean of the School of Economics and Management Jeyhun Mammadov, dean of the Higher School of Economics and Business Ingilab Ahmadov, head of the Petroleum Engineering Department Elshan Abdullayev and coordinator of the International Relations Office Fatima Valiyeva met with the delegation and further cooperation possibilities were discussed.

In line with the program, the guests had individual meetings with the faculties for detailed discussions. At the School of Economics and Management, Jeyhun Mammadov, António Borges Fernandes and Olena Dolid held discussions and talks about joint programs in order to increase the participation of staff in exchange programs.

A meeting was held with the employees of the "Sukanal" Scientific- Research and Design Institute at Khazar University under the organization of the Petroleum Engineering Department. Rector Irada Khalilova, head of department Elshan Abdullayev, Fatima Valiyeva, professors of Bragança Technical University attended the meeting. Javid Rahmanli, an employee of the institute, spoke on "Efficient management of waste water and activated sludge", and Elshan Abdullayev delivered a speech on "Chemical composition of the water of the Kura river".

On July 20, the institute's deputy director Elnur Nasirov, Elshan Abdullayev and the delegation of Bragança Technical University visited Zardab region to take samples from the sediments of the Kura River and the soil on the bank.

Aytac Misgarli, deputy director of the Library Information Center, introduced the guests to the activities of the Nailekhanim Culture Center. In the center, they were informed about the exhibits reflecting the life and activities of the outstanding educator Nailekhanim Isayeva.

In accordance with the program, Elshan Abdullayev and Portuguese professors visited the central laboratory of "Azersu" and discussed the planned project.

On the last day of the program, with the organization of the International Relations Office, the guests visited "Shah dili" in Zira, which belongs to the Absheron National Reserve.

At the end of the program the guests were presented certificates by Vlad Vernigora, vice-rector for International Relations, and Jeyhun Mammadov, dean of the School of Economics and Management.
