The students of Khazar University Baku "Dunya" School and Sumgayit "Dunya" School participated successfully in the International Copernicus Mathematics Olympiad held at Columbia University in New York City, USA on July 9-13, 2023, as part of the Azerbaijani team and were among the winners.

According to the results, Mehrab Alizadeh, a 10th-grade student of Sumgayit "Dunya" School, was awarded a gold medal, students of Baku "Dunya" School - Alpay Ismayil (8th grade IB) got a silver medal, Javad Hajiyev (9th grade IB) got a bronze medal, Suat Mehdiyev (5th grade IB) and Deniz Gurbanzade (5th grade IB) were awarded the Certificate Of Honor.

Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United States Khazar Ibrahim congratulated the participants and the Azerbaijani team with a video speech.
