On the 5th of July, 2023, Khazar University and UNDP office in Azerbaijan held a joint event on "Impact of the Regional Trends on Azerbaijan: An Economy-wide Analysis". UNDP regional senior economist, Dr. Sebnem Sahin presented her research on the topic with rigorous models such as multi-sector Global Trade Analysis Project (GTAP) model which specifies the economic relationships between Government, Consumer, Produce and Trade Partners as simultaneous equations.

The presentation was followed by intense discussions around the topic with participating experts on macroeconomic modeling.
