On 24-26 April 2023, the comprehensive kick-off meeting of the joint project “Training to Teach Online in Wartime and After” (U-Train) was held in Sweden.
The project is operationally designed around a strong consortium that involves Stockholm University, Khazar University, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, and Ukrainian Distance Learning System.
The initiative aims at supporting teachers of Ukrainian higher education institutions through a specific way of training that addresses their needs in regards of design and delivery of online courses during wartime and beyond.
In a highly positive way for the U-Train, its kick-off meeting also coincided with a few mobilities hosted by Stockholm University, and the project-associated discussions had effectively benefited from the involvement of representatives from the University of Aberdeen, the University of Portsmouth, and Altınbaş Üniversitesi. Khazar University was represented by Vlad Vernygora, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, who contributed to all sessions of the project’s initial event.
