On May 5, 2023, under the organization of the Career Center, the employees and activists of "AIESEC Azerbaijan" visited Khazar University. The head of the Marketing Department of the Local Committee, Nizami Bakhshaliyev, gave general information about "AIESEC Azerbaijan" at the event.
AIESEC is currently the largest student organization with consultative status at the UN, covering 38,000 students and graduates of more than 1,300 universities in 110 countries. AIESEC supports all initiatives aimed at the personal and professional development of young people using various educational and training projects, conferences organized in different countries and international student exchange programs and strives for their further development.
Taking into account the importance of the membership of the AIESEC international organization of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani representative office joined this international organization in 2006 with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in order to promote the development of young people, and in 2009," AIESEC Azerbaijan " – International Internship Program gained full-fledged member status.
Then students were informed about international internship programs - “Global Talent”, ”Global Teacher” and “Global Volunteer” projects. The” Global Talent " Project provides students with professional development opportunities by offering internships and exchange programs in various fields worldwide. The "Global Teacher" project aims to improve the quality of education by providing study opportunities abroad. Global Volunteer is a volunteer experience program based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals. By participating in the program, it is possible to work in an international team and gain practical experience.
During the event, the project participants shared their experiences and views on their involvement in these programs. Vafa Balakishiyeva spoke about why she chose this country for her Polish trip, what experiences she gained. Another participant Narmin Dibirova shared her impressions of her experience in the field of tourism in Sri Lanka.
Representatives also introduced the students to the” Global Host " project, Sabina Yusubova gave them detailed information about the admission conditions.
