On March 13-15, 2023, the 26th Eurasian Economic Summit was held in Istanbul, Türkiye, organized by the Marmara Group Foundation. More than 800 representatives, including 3 heads of state and 16 former presidents, from 44 countries of the world participated in the meeting. Alovsat Amirbeyli, Director of Public Relations and Media of Khazar University, was also invited to the event.
Akkan Suver, head of the Marmara Group Foundation, opened the meeting with an introductory speech and greeted the heads of state and all the guests. The letters from President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, addressed to the participants of the meeting, were read out by the MP of the
Turkish Grand National Assembly Shamil Airim and Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov accordingly.
On the 1st day of the event, Turkish historian and scientist Ilber Ortaylı, former president of Macedonia Gjorge Ivanov, president of TRNC Ersin Tatar, MP Nizami Jafarov, Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov, MP Valeh Alasgarov, former president of Moldova Petru Lucinschi, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye Hikmet Chetin, former Prime Minister of Moldova Chiril Gaburici, Ukrainian MP Anna Purtova, President of the USA World Federation of Peace and Love Arthur Hsieh and other speakers delivered speeches.
At the first meeting held on the 2nd day of the summit, reports of more than 20 representatives of state, municipal, non-governmental organizations and clergymen from 10 countries of the world listened on various topics were heard. Khazar University Public Relations and Media Director A. Amirbeyli was elected secretary of that meeting.
On the last day of the summit, former presidents Abdullah Gul (Türkiye), Marinko, Cavara, Mladen Ivanić (Bosnia-Herzegovina), Emil Konstantinescu (Romania), Gjorge Ivanov (Macedonia), Ivo Josipovic, Stjepan Mesic (Croatia), Vaclav Klaus (Czech Republic), Petru Lucinschi (Moldova), Moncef Marzouki (Tunisia), Nambar Enkhbayar (Mongolia), Fatmir Sejdiu (Kosovo), Bamir Topi (Arnavutluk), Irina Vlah (Gagauzia), Filip Vujanovic (Karadagh) spoke and expressed the positions of their countries on the recent situation in the world.
At the end of the summit, memory photos were taken. Former president Abdullah Gul hosted a banquet in honor of foreign leaders and guests.
