Visit to the Republic of Poland within ECAR project

From January 30 to February 4, 2023, the next business trip to Poland took place within the framework of the Erasmus+ project called "Establishment of the Rectors' Conference in Azerbaijan" funded by the European Commission and coordinated by Baku Business University and partnered by Khazar University. Khazar University was represented by Dr.Jeyhun Mammadov, Dean of the School of Economics and Management. The purpose of the visit, organized by the Conference of Rectors of Polish Universities (CRASP), was to study the issues of strategic development of Polish higher education institutions.

The first two days of training were held at Kozminsky University. Here, the experiences of the university on general development, sustainable development, digital transformation strategies, as well as local and European projects related to the improvement of employees were studied.

In the following days of the visit, Michał Zasada, rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, vice-president of the Conference of Rectors of Polish Universities, gave detailed information to the event participants about the main criteria of human resources management in strategic planning, financial management, including the activities of CRASP. Also, General Secretary of CRASP Agata Kulesza exchanged detailed views on national and international experiences of CRASP with the participants of the trip.

The employees of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences held training seminars on important topics such as the interrelationship of strategic development and quality issues, monitoring and evaluation processes in Polish higher education institutions, and accreditation criteria for strategic management.

Within the framework of the training program, Shahla Kazimova, an employee of the University of Warsaw, gave detailed information about the teaching of the Azerbaijani language, promotion of the Azerbaijani culture, scientific conferences and other events at the university.

Within the framework of the visit, representatives of Azerbaijani higher education institutions had a meeting with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Poland, Nargiz Gurbanova. At the meeting, the ambassador talked about socio-cultural events and projects implemented in Poland, especially in higher schools.

N.Gurbanova invited our universities to further strengthen cooperation with Polish higher education institutions and said that appropriate support can be provided in this direction.
