Department of English Language and Literature Holds “Paragraph Writing” contest

On December 9, 2022, Khazar University English Language and Literature Department hosted the first Paragraph Writing Contest. Thirty BA students from various majors took part in the writing competition. After successfully passing the selection phase, the participants took part in the last phase writing a paragraph of 350-400 words.

The panel of judges consists of external and internal examiners who are responsible for the evaluation of the writings in accordance with the agreed marking scheme. The external examiners of the contest are Hamza Hassan from University Malaysia Sarawak, Malaysia, and Alyspysbayeva Saulet from Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, Kazakhstan. The internal examiners are Naila Gasimova and Jala Huseynova from the Department of English Language and Literature, Khazar University.

The contest results will be announced in January 2023.
